Finished Projects
I managed to actually finish something over the weekend.
The flannel rag quilt that I started about a year ago was finally snipped yesterday and all I have to do now is to put it through the washer.

Also, I finished my friend's birthday present, though not too cold around here anymore for a scarf but perhaps it will be fashionable, and a neat little bag to carry her stethoscope and sphygmomanometer. I think it is quite cute, if I say so myself.

Also not shown here would be the batch of seafoam candy that my sister and I made. If you don't know what it is, it is a sugary, crispy, melt in your mouth, covered in chocolate goodness that I have found that I can not resist. It is all gone, and quickly too. There is also a candy bar out there that is pretty much the same if your curious, called violet crumble. It is good but not as good as candy shoppe kind. And looking online for recipes (the one we used I got from my mother, unknown source) there is a lot of recipes and they are very different. I am pleased how ours came out and will stick with it, but I must limit myself to how often I can make it. I was planning to bring some of it to work but it didn't even last that long.

I must say, it was as good as store (or rather shoppe) bought.
MMM, sounds yummy... That's funny because I was just telling Tammy about Violet Crumbles the other day... I was telling her it was one of your favorite candy bars but I was having trouble explaining it.
