just a note

Thought I should say hey and let you all know how things are going.
Flash back to the fair. Final results were that I received blue ribbons on each one of my entries, keep in mind many people receive blue ribbons, but only those worthy enough receive grand champion and judges choice ribbons. I didn't receive any of those. But a friend of ours (Brenda's daughter, Jen) did receive judges choice on her fruit stand decorated cake, which was worthy of its honor.

also not pictured was the kaleidoscope nine patch quilt.

I am probably my own worst critic when it comes to crafts, but I love to do them anyway.
Next year, if were in town, I will definitely be entering more things.

As mentioned before, I am working nights this month. Now I am on to night-time drift boat electrofishing. Which can be really fun when your netting hundreds of fish, but not so fun when you have the responsibility of rowing a drift boat down the river in the dark, trying not to hit any rocks. And actually, I only have to do it for two weeks.

So, that is it for now. I had a good weekend with the Longview crew quilting and cheering on the men to the end. Sorry, too lazy and too lame to put links in today.

Chow.

Blogs can help boost a career or sink it, especially if you're an a-hole spammer who won't leave the good people out their alone. I think I only ever one one blue ribbon at a fair, so they don't give them out to EVERYONE. Of course I had to dress up like a fruit and ride horses around, which is even more fun, because they judge you directly. Yup.

What kind of fruit would you dress up as and ride around on a horse in front of people? An interesting question...

Work can suck. I totaled it up and I have 17 one hour-long user orientations next week, which means at least 17 hours in front of 35 people, with each orientation leaving me feeling totally drained. Plus the driving and the database work, and the .. whaaa!
