Nothing Shocking

I finally got some pictures of work. They have been filming and taking pictures to try and put together a video to raise interest and awareness. So here are some stills I got of our recent night work. The day sampling is what we do from July till the end of August.

The purpose of the night driftboat shocking is Rainbow trout population estimation. Shown here is my co-worker Tim recording data, and me measuring, weight, and marking fish.

We take turns rowing, then netting. Some sections have tons of fish and your arms get so sore from trying to catch them all. You stand at the front of the boat and watch the fish boil in the water, trying to identify them so you can focus your efforts on trying to net only Rainbow trout.

The link to the rest of the pictures is here. We were snorkeling to count and confirm Bull Trout in the upper N. Fork Teanaway. I'm in the brown suit better camouflaged from cougars.
