It's about time.

Past time actually. I manage to keep busy beyond capacity and still have things I want to get done. So let's see... I'm still working, till the end of November, after which I have a designated three months off. Not sure what I will be doing, I am looking for other employment, but wouldn't mind collecting unemployment until Christmas, giving me time to work on all my hobbies. Speaking of hobbies, I just received my early birthday/Christmas present from the Pitts side(three generations). Another craft to add to the list.

wheel

I am excited to start using this wheel. My sister already bought some wool with which she wants mittens made.

I am realizing that I might just have too many crafts. I don't have time to do them all. But how you decided which ones to get lose? I have cut down on the shear yardage of fabric I purchase, and have decided that I should work on getting some of those quilting projects done. My mind, and my husband's, would be more at ease then.

The other thing I have been devoting my time, while watching movies, to is making Christmas ornaments. I talked to a lady in town that owns a "functional art/craft gallery" and she is going to let me sell the ornaments in her store. So I have been trying to get a batch of them ready to go.

This photo shows the snow-balls and fur-ball variations.

This one to show the pattern of the beaded ornaments.

I applied to be a dispatcher with the county. They have a very intensive hiring program. The position sounds exciting and interesting, but I've yet to find if I have what it takes to sit in a dimly lit room for 10+ hours a day. I get to job shadow next week. I can't wait.

So besides that, today we're going to put up plastic on our single-pane rattely windows so our gas heat has a chance before it goes out the window, literally.
Oh yeah, yesterday we had a snow storm and got about 2 inches on snow, which is in the process of melting right now. Happy Holidays!

Wow. The wheel looks just like the one on the old Disney movie. I figured spinning wheels, like everything else, would now be made with space agae materials.

Turn the hobbies into income - good plan. Then you don't have to feel guilty about spending so much time doing them.
